Brief Introduction

Vchung’s 10Gbps X2 Transceiver is a highly integrated,serial optical transponder module for high-speed,10Gbit/s data transmission application,4*3.125Gbps Ethernet Signal Input by XAUI Interface. The 10GBASE-LRM Module supports link lengths of 220m on standard Fiber Distributed Data Interface (FDDI) grade multimode fiber (MMF).

To ensure that specifications are met over FDDI-grade, OM1 and OM2 fibers, the transmitter should be coupled through a mode conditioning patch cord. No mode conditioning patch cord is required for applications over OM3.

The module is fully compliant to IEEE 802.3aq. standard for Ethernet,making it ideally suited for 10GbE datacom (rack to-rack,client interconnection) applications. Designed for distances of up to 220m, the transponder module comprises a transmitter with a vertical cavity surface emitting laser (VCSEL), a receiver with a PIN photodiode,a XAUI-Attachment Interface, an integrated Coder /Decoder and multiplexer / de-multiplexer (SERDES: Serializer/Deserializer).
