The Plug type fixed attenuator is a Male to Female attenuator. One end is a connector type, and the other end is an adapter type. The attenuation fiber inserts the ferrule and fixed. According to different attenuation fibers, the different attenuation values attenuator can be manufactured. Put the attenuator in the optical link, that means, the optical link thought the attenuation fiber, which can reduce optical power. So the optical components will not be damaged due to excessive power.
FC attenuator is applied to FC optical fiber interface. The external reinforcement method is a metal sleeve and the fastening method is a screw buckle. Generally used on the ODF side (most used on distribution frames)
