Brief Introduction
There are many types of simplex connector. The most widely used types are LC connector, SC connectors, FC connectors, and ST connectors. Because of the LC connector uses the ceramic ferrule and which outer diameter only ∮1.25 mm, which is SC connector, FC connector and ST connector half of the outer diameter, so the LC size is only half of the other connectors, because the LC is more smaller, which makes it more density in the 10G/40G fiber cabling system, LC is the first choice for simplex connectors.
This is the most common LC duplex connector; the duplex cable is 3.0mm and 2.0mm. The LC connector color is green and is generally LC/APC type. APC type has better Return Loss than UPC type. For 40G/10G SFP, SFP+ optical module, one connector receives a signal and the other connector transmits a signal. It should be noted that 40G/10G optical module generally uses LC/UPC type.

For duplex patch-cord, the connectors with clip or without clip? Before confirm the order, it's necessary to confirm the connector with clip or wothout clip. Generally speaking, duplex cable(2-core fiber) is equipped with duplex LC connector with clip, if it is matched with simplex connector, this needs special note. | ![]() |
![]() | Duplex LC Connector type The LC connectors are available in a variety of styles as the picture show: ①This is the most commonly used and the largest number of connectors. ②The LC-HD(High Density), is a totally unique desigh which can increase panel density to its highest possible. ③One 2.0mm cable with two core fiber inside and short BOOT, two connectors can change polarity with each other. ④Uniboot LC connector, the LC is a small form factor (SFF) connector and is ideal for high density applications. |
How to choose fiber? What is the difference about Several type multimode fiber?
OM4 and OM3 fiber are Gigabit fiber, various performance indexes is better than OM1 and OM2.
