10G SFP+ DAC
10G SFP+ DAC are made of twinax copper, it provide a cost-effective, environmental alternative to 10G optical SFP+ connection. It is assembled with two 10G SFP+ head which cannot be removed and the cable length is fixed. 10G SFP+ DAC is a better option for short-distance connections within racks and across the adjacent racks, with the advantage of high reliability and low power consumption, it is more and more popular in data centers and other 10G Ethernet application.
10G SFP+ AOC is designed for 10Gb Ethernet (10GbE) short distance connections. It is assembled from 2 fixed SFP+ modules heads and OM2/OM3 optical fibers. The optical module heads usually use COB or other new optical designs, which have much lower cost and lower power consumption compared to regular SFP+ SR modules. Comparing to copper DAC cables, it could transmit longer distance, up to 100M. It provides an ideal alternative solution for SFP+ direct attach copper cables (DAC) and SFP+ transceivers of short reach.
