SFP28 is a small form-factor pluggable 25Gbit/s interface. It evolved from 100 Gigabit Ethernet, which usually uses four by 25Gbit/s lanes. It has identical dimensions as other SFP and SFP+ modules, and it supports up to 10km of transmission length.
The 25G SFP28 is a high-performance module designed for short ranges. It is typically used in single-fiber systems with wavelengths of 1310nm. However, VCHUNG offers modules operating at other wavelengths as well.
