Splitters & Couplers
Optic couplers are made using the fused biconical taper process or FBT. This is the most common process for designing couplers, and it’s widely used in passive networks. Couplers are used when there is a need for distributing power. Usually, the system will have one or more fibers on the input, and one or several fibers on the output.
At VCHUNG, we also offer wavelength-sensitive couplers that are used as multiplexers in WDM. Moreover, we also offer PLC splitters or planar lightwave circuits, which can offer more accuracy with minimal losses.
